Adaptively Sampled Distance Fields

Abstract

The Adaptively Sampled Distance Field is an octree-based structure which represents forms thanks to the distance field they generate.

The AsDF is used in order to integrate stereo maps, which are considered as a whole cloud of unorganized points.

The use of patches to fit data will also be presented.

The final goal is the 3D-reconstruction of rocks observed on the planet Mars.
