Human Pose Estimation (Selected papers from ECCV and CVPR 2004)
Abstract
In CVPR and ECCV, 2004, there are many papers directly related to human pose
estimation (in single image or video). In this seminar, I will discuss some
of the papers. These are from the following 5 groups:
- T. Roberts, et al., (Dundee),
“Human Pose Estimation using Learnt Probabilistic Region Similarities and
Partial Configurations” (eccv 04)
- C. Sminchisescu, A. Jepson (Toronto)
“Variational Mixture Smoothing for Non-linear Dynamical Systems” (cvpr 04)
- M. Black, L. Sigal, S. Roth, (Brown) (3 related papers)
“Tracking Loose-limbed People” (cvpr 04)
“Gibbs Likelihoods for Bayesian Tracking” (cvpr 04)
“3D Human Limb Detection using Space Carving and Multi-view Eigen Models”
(cvpr 04 workshop, on Articulated and Nonrigid Motion)
- D. Demirdjian, (MIT)
“Combining Geometric- and View-Based Approaches for Articulated Pose
Estimation” (eccv 04)
- K. Grauman, T. Darrell, G. Shakhnarovich (MIT),
“Fast Contour Matching Using Approximate Earth Mover’s Distance.” (cvpr 04)
