Abstract

Many aerial view analyses for 3D site modeling have been researched. Further work such as integrating with ground view images is required to reconstruct detail facade geometry for 3D simulation or to support high quality fly-through rendering applications. In this paper, we present a novel approach for integrating aerial and ground view images to merge facade textures to the 3D building model in urban area. Because there exist non-rectangular buildings and many buildings are closely located each other in urban area, non-orthognal vanishing method with less 3D to 2D correspondences has been developed.
